All the survivors of the Great Coronavirus Pandemic gathered in the assembly room. They cheered and clapped as the time traveler returned.

A few days ago, he had appeared out of nowhere from a portal. He promised to carry the last vial of coronavirus vaccine back in time. The vaccine was developed too late in this timeline, but it could help those in the past. It would create an alternate timeline of an Earth that did not experience apocalypse. Humanity would continue thriving.

He stuck to his word. The few survivors felt like heroes.

Until the time traveler began coughing…
